I thought hard about my words but then i felt i should just write down straight from the heart and i wrote back:
"What i love about House music is that it's music from the soul. It's the musical essence of the self-expression. It's the child of Disco, which itself was purely built around rhythm & blues but with a tempo to dance, so you have everything put into one: rhythm, blues, dancing tempo, + house's harder deeper beats. House music is letting go COMPLETELY and moving your body at the will of the rhythm but with no real dancing structure. I love that out of ALL THE MUSIC GENRES ITS THE MOST WELCOMING. We don't look at race or age, we WANT to dance and be ONE with the rest of the world, all under 1 happy family. We don't slam each other in House, there is little to NO NEGATIVITY (like other genres.. *cough* Rap). It's the one music style that can bring the whole world together. That's what i love about House."
Now this is just a small part of the hundreds of pages i could write about why i love House music.
I thought to ask you guys the same. What makes you love House, why do you listen and why do you follow it?

Because there's nothing else like it. House music is one of a kind, to me its the strongest and most soulful dance music. I'm a utopianist and to me house music would be the national anthem to a utopian civilisation. Also because of its roots in disco and rhythm and blues it has a powerful message from the civil rights movement and black culture to me.

ReplyDeleteThe reason i Love house, is because its so powerful, strong and soulful, House music brings people together and is loved globally. There are so many aspects of house that fall under one Genre of music. We like it Deep, Dirty, Minimal, Techno... we love house.
