Why do you like House music?

I was on Facebook (im back on it now, mostly because i wanted to connect with a few producers) and saw that Sweeney Soulman T (CyberJamz) had posted an update asking: "What do you love about House music?"I thought to myself and answered, but then i thought Facebook wasn't enough for my words of truth and emotion, i HAD to post them somewhere else. Well i do have a blogspot i thought, and here i am now.

I thought hard about my words but then i felt i should just write down straight from the heart and i wrote back:

"What i love about House music is that it's music from the soul. It's the musical essence of the self-expression. It's the child of Disco, which itself was purely built around rhythm & blues but with a tempo to dance, so you have everything put into one: rhythm, blues, dancing tempo, + house's harder deeper beats. House music is letting go COMPLETELY and moving your body at the will of the rhythm but with no real dancing structure. I love that out of ALL THE MUSIC GENRES ITS THE MOST WELCOMING. We don't look at race or age, we WANT to dance and be ONE with the rest of the world, all under 1 happy family. We don't slam each other in House, there is little to NO NEGATIVITY (like other genres.. *cough* Rap). It's the one music style that can bring the whole world together. That's what i love about House."

Now this is just a small part of the hundreds of pages i could write about why i love House music.

I thought to ask you guys the same. What makes you love House, why do you listen and why do you follow it?

Danny J Lewis - Unreleased Dubs From 1993

In case you don't keep up with the times, don't have a twitter or what have you, Danny J Lewis released yesterday 2 previously unreleased dubs from 1993 to commemorate the release of his latest EP 'A Definition Of Garage'.

The files are up for FREE download from Danny's Soundcloud account, but im still gonna upload them to mediafire for a nice mirror in case Mr. Lewis decides to take them down in the near future.
